This morning, one of our summer interns revealed himself as a kind of Indiana Jones. Over the weekend, he explored the newspaper archives at the Boston Public Library and stumbled upon a newspaper article from 1932 which discusses the changing school calendar. The article concludes, “It appears, therefore, that in this typical city, the actual reduction in school time per year has been from 233 to 184 days.”
