As an art educator, ELT has been an asset to the arts and creative thought at the Salemwood. The added enrichment of Project Based Learning (PBL) has encouraged teachers to co-teach and design creative units. Along with the creative pursuits, PBL also allows students to collaborate with students in other grade levels.
In the school’s improvement phase when we were a Level 3 school, many classroom strategies were implemented. All the mandated measures lead to our success in becoming a Level 1 school. These improvement strategies would not have been available to us without ELT.
As a former team leader, I understand the importance of the collaboration of a leadership team. Collaboration promotes better leadership with improved communication between teachers and administration.
